This is an on-line application process and we're looking for artists, artisans and hand-makers who
push the boundaries of craft & design in all artistic mediums including edibles!

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

​ELIGIBILITY:
All items offered for sale must be created by YOU, the artist, artisan or craftsperson.  Any items derived from kit work, wholesale or commercially purchased/manufactured products or, items that are in direct conflict with copyright infringement,
will not be allowed.  YOU - the artisan/craftsperson - must be in attendance the day of the show.


SELECTION:
APPLICATIONS ARE JURIED and CURATED based on the originality, quality and craftmanship of the product you intend to sell. Applicants who focus on one main product category may receive preference over applicants having multiple product lines. Limits are imposed in categories to make for a varied and diverse show.  Applicants not selected will be placed on the show's wait list. Accepted exhibitors are required to submit a raffle prize to benefit our charity partner in accordance with Mistletoe Magic Artisan Show guidelines.

PHOTOGRAPHS: 
Quality photos are an important part of the application.  In order for your application to be juried, we require the following photo submissions clearly identified with your company and item name, representing the "current" range of work you intend to sell at the show.  
*3 digital images of your work ... PLUS
*1 image of you working on your craft (preferred) or proudly displaying a finished product (see note below) ... PLUS
*1 image of your display set-up.


PLEASE NOTE - RE IMAGES... It is highly recommended that:
i)  items be photographed individually, and as creatively as possible, with a white or wood background and not as a grouping.
Send good pictures please! -- as your product photos are used for the jurying process and to promote you at the show!
(Note:  If you've previously exhibited at one of our shows, please send new, current product photos!)
ii) the image of you 
working on your craft must show some part of your creative process, i.e.; your hands knitting, sewing; you at the wood lathe or potters wheel; an image of your sketch with cut fabric pieces or jewellery designs; or you smiling proud holding one of your signature pieces!  Be creative as possible as we use these images for show promotion!
iii) Photos are to be in JPG photo format - 300 dpi - not smaller than 1500 pixels and not larger than 4000 pixels in dimension -- NO thumbnail photos please!


PRESENTATION: 
The professionalism and creativity of your booth display is a consideration in our applicant selection and helps to determine booth placement in the show.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND ARTISAN PROMOTION: 
Mistletoe Magic Artisan Show extensively advertises and promotes the show on social media platforms.  We require our artisans to share the love of handmade by spreading the word with regular sharing of posts on their social media sites and to invite guests to this public event, including other marketing platforms.  This helps build a stronger public relations campaign and lets your family, friends and fans "be-in-the-know" of your attendance at the show.

IMPORTANT: 
To keep the show fresh and unique, previous participation in any of our WeCreate artisan events (The Mother of all Craft Shows or Mistletoe Magic) does not guarantee or imply acceptance in to the current Mistletoe Magic Artisan Show.
Each show is juried and curated as a NEW SHOW due to the large number of submissions received.
Exhibitors are required to submit an item for raffle in accordance with Mistletoe Magic guidelines.

Artisans are responsible for applicable permits, product labels, health and safety designations, sales and tax collection, liability and property insurance. 
Only complete applications, including current photos, will be considered, even if you have participated in our past shows.
Please send all info by the submission deadline for your application to be included in the jurying process.


EXHIBITOR SPACE:
ALL exhibitor spaces are designated as a Standard - 6 ft x 3 ft TABLE SPACE ONLY with an overall 8' x 5' footprint to accommodate space for seating and maneuvreability around the table.
All exhibitors are to supply their own 6' x 3' table the day of the show.

Please Note:  Unique to this venue, there are 8 permanently situated 14' x 3' solid oak tables found in Ackerman Hall at Albert College and, therefore, an opportunity for an artisan to share one of these tables with another juried exhibitor the day of the show  -- OR -- the option to rent the entire solid oak table as a double space.  When applying, and ONLY if interested in one of these options, please indicate Option A (I'm ok to share an oak table with another juried exhibitor) or Option B (I would like a double space utilitzing the entire oak table).   These spots are very limited and can only accommodate:  16 shared (6'x3'spaces) or 8 double (14'x3') spaces and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.   It is important to note that exhibitors situated in these spots will be seated back to back in the centre aisle of the Hall.

EXHIBITOR FEE:
Standard - 6 ft x 3 ft Table Space - provide own 6' x 3' table - $90.00
*Option A: Shared Ackerman Hall oak table - $90.00
*Option B: Double Ackerman Hall oak table - $180.00
Note:  *Only 8 tables are available offering either shared (16 spots) or double space (8 spots) as noted above.

THIS IS AN APPLICATION for the JURYING PROCESS.
Each show is JURIED SEPARATELY and DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE INTO THE CURRENT SHOW.

​ACCEPTANCE:
Accepted exhibitors will be sent a show contract including show conditions and information by THURSDAY, APRIL 12, 2018. 
This show contract is to be completed and returned promptly with e-transfer payment by MONDAY, APRIL 23, 2018 in order to secure your space.  Failure to submit your show fee by APRIL 23 will result in loss of space - sorry, no exceptions - due to the show's popularity and extensive wait list.
Applicants who are not selected will be placed on the show's wait list.
