When is the show?
- Mistletoe Magic Artisan Show takes place in November -- the second Saturday of the month.
- The Grand in Belleville has been the venue in 2021 and 2022.
- In 2023 and 2024, Mistletoe Magic is heading back to the Ramada by Wyndham Hotel with artisans showcasing in two ballrooms!
- Wow... a total of 23 years! Mistletoe Magic has showcased one-of-a-kind artisans and their original handcrafted creations since 2010.
Prior to 2010, the show was previously known as Home for the Holidays and operated as such from 2003 to 2010.
How many exhibitors will be at the show?
There will be 70+ artisans showcasing in the Windows & Park Ballrooms at the Ramada by Wyndham Hotel in 2024!
How many shoppers come out to the show?
- Our previous show in 2019 at the Ramada brought in over 1800 shoppers. Not bad for a 5 hour show!
- Doors open at 9:30 until 4.
- Busiest times are between 9:30am and 1pm. Not to fret, artisans are bringing their storefront to you! and exhibiting until show closure. And... you can always reach out to them via their web and social sites pre-and-post show to make a purchase!
I’d like to become an exhibitor. How do I apply? When does the show launch?
- Mistletoe Magic launches in the first quarter of the new year. Our "Call to Artisans" goes out via Newsletter to subscribers around February/March that also links to our Facebook and Instagram pages.
- To be included in our show calls, you will need to subscribe to our Mailing List. Also, if you like and follow us on Facebook and Instagram, you will also hear of our show launches.
- Visit our Application Page (when the call to artisans has launched) and be sure to submit all of the required information by the submission deadline to be included in the curation process. Unfortunately, incomplete applications are not be juried.
Can I apply by sending an email or mailing in my application?
- For consistency and ease in the curation process, we can only accept electronically “on-line” applications via our Application Page including your photo submissions.... but you may always reach out to us at [email protected] should issues arise.
Do I need to apply to this year’s show again if you already have my info from a previous show?
- Yes, you will need to apply to each and every show that we produce as the curation process begins from scratch for every event.
- Be sure to visit the applicable event websites when you hear the “call to artisans” and be sure to submit the necessary information
for the jurying process.
I don’t make my product, I represent a line, can I still apply to the show?
- No, unfortunately not. Mistletoe Magic prides itself as an "ALL-HANDMADE" artisan event accepting only creations handcrafted by the artist, artisan or craftsperson applying to the show.
Why is the show juried?
- We jury the show for a number of reasons:
- originality, quality, technical excellence and sellability of craft;
- booth display including creative packaging;
- limits in product categories making for an interesting and varied show;
- our vision -- including the need to change things up in order to keep the event top-notch, fresh and to give other artisans a
chance to exhibit their creativity at the show.
Some shows have many artisans selling jewellery. How many jewellery vendors will be at the show?
- We impose limits in product categories, so no one category is over-weighted.
- The Jewellery category is designated ONLY for artisans whose main focus is creating jewellery and we make sure that each
exhibitor specializes in different design styles or techniques. This is why we ask that you submit photos and your display setup that represents what you are wishing to sell.
Can I share a space with a friend?
- Due to space limitations, we cannot accept shared applications for Mistletoe Magic.
How will I know that I’m accepted?
- An acceptance notification will be emailed to all applicants the week following the submission deadline.
- This email will include the time sensitive show contract and fee deadline. Be sure to respond promptly, as missing this deadiine will forfeit your space with your space given to the next artisan on the show's wait list.
- Be sure to add [email protected] to your email contacts so our info doesn't go into spam or promotions folders!
I applied to the show and wasn't accepted. Why?
- As artisans ourselves, it's always an extremely difficult decision to have to decline applications and something what we're never keen on doing. If all information has been submitted, please know that it's not because of your product!
- Unfortunately, due to venue capacity, we are only able to select a limited number of exhibitors to fill the spaces.
- Please, never ever let this discourage you from creating or applying to our future shows and know that, should we have any cancellations, we keep your information on file -- on the show's wait-list -- and would contact you if a space becomes available in your product category.
- If incomplete applications are received, well... as mentioned, sadly, we're not able to curate these.
Why do I have to provide donated items?
- As part of the acceptance criteria, all artisans are required to donate handcrafted items for raffle in addition to their table fees.
- Your donated items help to raise the much needed funds for the local charity that Mistletoe Magic supports.
